I have been inspired to start a unicycle gang.
Very cool how do I get started
bog704 May I join?
Porter Carr you're not down.
Nathan Talamante ehh, I tried...
Porter Carr fuck it dawg. you're in.
imagine just tryna take a walk in the woods and seeing 4 old dudes coming at you 15 mph holding their crotch
Give em space! Im spooked. Wierd flex but ok
I was going to post something similar but this was said more eloquently than I could have.
Lmaooooo gold
How are they old dudes? You must be a millennial loser
I dont imagine lol i ride one
One wheel and a mountain. It's the dream of these off-road unicyclists.
Fancy a go ***** ?
Discovery This could help your dual survival guys get around, chase after some food!
Onewheel on the trails is the way to go
"it couldn't be farther from it, I pursue it for the sport" would have been hilarious if he slowly started putting on a clown outfit bit by bit throughout the video.
the funny music at the end makes up for it
First couple seconds of the video: "Very very inefficient way to get around the woods." ............
That's a joke. It's not really true. You move 3 times the speed of walking and it's not as tough as running.
@@Welther47 would you say it's faster than a non electric push scooter? I'm legitimately thinking about using it as a means of urban transport and replacing my foldable push scooter.
@@wushulion Speed very much depends on wheel size. A 26" or 27,5" is pretty good for getting around town (and I bet you, it's way more fun).
You should join the forum unicyclist.com if you are serious.
@@wushulion Around the time you posted this comment, I got my first unicycle. I still can only ride it for 30 seconds maximum before falling off, and you will need around 5 months of consistent training for your legs to get adjusted to the thing. The movments you make while unicycling is so unnatural that your body hurts more than any other exercise. But once you get the hang of it, you can carry it every where, ride it everywhere, and it is more diverse than a scooter will ever be. If you have a lot of free time, I would reccomend it. Learning to unicycle will be one of the most rewarding things you will every do in your life.
I live an Arizona. Even the city streets are very rocky and dirty. My unicycle is the ultimate method of getting around. It is also great for striking up a conversation, if you are an extrovert.
All in all, if you are persistent, this is much better than a scooter. If you aren't, it will just become an industrial sized paper weight.
@@vaukest5888 very helpful, Thanks!
they might not be a part of the circus but i have to argue its VERY entertaining to watch them ride unicycles through the woods
These dudes are hardcore. Much respect.
This looks great. just learned how to unicycle and im pretty much confident i can ride indefinitely, at least on semi consistent surfaces and if i concentrate. you work up more sweat than you think. Ive been riding up and down my street on the sidewalk and have gotten some diverse reactions for passers by, but its great fun, and very satisfying once you get to that point where you can go as long as you want without falling off. this is definitely where im aiming. looks so much fun.
ps this is the longest youtube comment ive ever written xD
So how goes it bud? We're ya able to keep at it?
Hope so
how is it now?
“Diverse reactions” 😂 I’d like to hear some details on that one lol. Just learned to ride one myself last month, and yeah people definitely stop and stare!
Love this. I watched this video a couple years ago and was in awe. Now I’m riding trails like these and when I Re watched the video today, nothing looked strange at all! I’m a 55 year old lady….no one I know rides a unicycle anywhere , let alone single track trails. I absolutely love it but really would love some company!! So glad you guys have each other
Ayyyyy 14 been riding for 3 years got myself a Nimbus II road that I threw on a mountain tire took it on my first trail at camp and loved it.
Been doing basically this for the past 10-15 years and never knew this was an actual sport other people do as well!
That last sentence: 'When you got the hang of it, it is really not much harder then riding a normal bike' YEAAASSS, that's so true!!
You guys are awesome, thank you for being yourselves.
"not afraid to look stupid" wdym dude it's soo efin coolllll 😩
Man thise guys have skill to the max. Nice job.
I went out to some easier trails near where I live this morning and had a blast! It was so much fun, and since it was my first time on a mountain bike trail, yes, I fell... A lot. But it was so worth it! Would recommend to anyone wanting to try it!
Muni is where it's at! Great coverage on one of the most fun non-mainstream extreme sports out there.
I would never think riding a unicycle looks funny or ridiculous. Who would, to be honest? It's so cool! Definitely something I'd want to learn soon.
Bro I got a unicycle for Christmas I can barely go around the tennis court and here y’all are going down a MOUNTAIN howww
Looks like these guys are having a ton of fun.. I need to find one of these things.
Here come dat boi
Oh shit waddup
Some insane skills there.
Best thing about riding with a friend is when someone says, "hey where's your other wheel?", you can point to them and say, "he's got it!".
This is the funniest thing that i have ever seen!
I like where you put the handle!
Much respect. Love what you do is good mantra.
I got my first uni 3 months ago today and ride it almost every day cant wait to try more! Wish me luck!
I ride my unicycle all over the place and in the woods, but always by myself. I wish I had a crew like you guys do.
i unicycle a lot as transport. i just really appreciate what these guys do no matter how silly it looks or challenging. if anything I'm jealous at how comfy they appear going through that terrain. pretty jarring as there is little functional suspension on most unicycles and I'd love to know the seats, shorts, handles and chafe butter, they used XD
why not buy a car?
@@MrSimon1909 compare the price tag of a unicycle and a car
Why not buy a bike
@@pandaproof8732 probably because a unicycle is more exciting same reason people buy high end motorcycles over a car sure one is safer but is it more exciting to ride?
This is amazing.
I enjoyed that immensely 😀👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
Every bit as cool as rollerblading!
Respect to this guys.
That looks hella fun!
Awesome clip. Thank you 🙏 💝🌹👏🙏
in my opinion, it looks so cool
I remember ( mtb) unicycles being around in the 90s .& Still have so much respect for these crazy guys .
I think this is cool. It makes you not the same as every one else. Every one knows you.
The handle on the front looks...interesting. Been riding for 2 years.
Thomas Gallagher Looks phallic
Thats awesome
Super cool
Rest in peace for the buttocks. Ive used full suspention bikes and that shit still destroys me. Amazing balance.
they make it look so easy
What size Muni’s are being ridden in this great, short insight into the world of Mountain Unicycling?
You guys are beasts!
I learned to ride when I was 14-15. Had a chrome 20" Schwinn and a 24" Schwinn. What wheel size are you guys using? I can't tell if they're 24" or 26"s
Love this video. I'm one year into unicycling and I a lot of what these guys say resonates with me. My only regret is I didn't discover unicycles sooner. BTW those handles look pretty sweet, are they commercially available or custom-made?
did you ever figure out the answer to this?
cool Munis. What brand are thoses? I only see Nimbus, Kris Holm, QuAx and some less rated brand that I cant remember. I want to get one but have been waiting. Your help would be great. Love the video, by the way
Great video! Hey, are there any other Muni riders out there in northern Michigan? I'm on the west side below the bridge. There are a lot of good trails around here and it would be nice to find other riders.
I tought myself to ride unicycle and my little girl took interest and we go riding on the trails it blows peoples mind seeing a 7 year old on a trail on a unicycle. I love my nimbus 32
Cool!
I’ve got some very serious respect for them
“Handle bars.” Riiight.
I ride a mountain unicycle at Sandy Ridge MTB park where this was filmed. I thought I rode muni alone in Oregon. Is there a way for me to contact these guys?
I miss doing this so much!! I teached myself how to unicycle when i was 7. It’s so much fun! i am currently looking for a good unicycle does anyone have recommendations?
Any form of transport that has at least a wheel, will have a mountain version.
Electric unicycles have gone out, but more chill trails and I don't know if that's a thing per se... BUT OneWheels are very much out on the trails.
The nice thing about a unicycle is that you can run it out... (land on the feet easy) as opposed to on a bicycle where if you fall, the bike is totally in the way and you're going to fall in a super suboptimal manner.
Great vibe, looks very fun. Apart from no suspension! Can't see any under the seats either.
I'm riding Muni too and I have to say that there are even harder dudes out there, but anyways I enjoyed these guys
2:19 hot
( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
Yep! That's insane. . .I want one. :)
I want to do this now
Fernando Murillo So...have you done it yet?
I Have i started like 4 days ago and Non stop i have been able to go around the block of my neighborhood :D
This is badass ngl
It sure looks fun. I love hiking on a mountain and biking, but it does look a lot harder than riding a bicycle. It seems like it has more falls, or maybe that is just the mountain terrain.
what inch size is the unicycle? 26"?
Does anyone know where to buy those handles with the white bulb? Looking to upgrade my current handle
How critical is the brake to off road riding in hilly conditions?
would you say it's faster than a non electric push scooter? I'm legitimately thinking about using it as a means of urban transport and replacing my foldable push scooter.
Did not try real Unicycle offroad but i'm having a blast riding my electric unicycle offroad, i'm currently building an unicycle from old bike parts
Im a mountain bike rider but i really have respect for unicycle riders it looks so hard😲
If you could free ride a unicycle I would probably try it. I've always liked speed but you can only go so fast when you have to constantly pedal and can't get speed and coast a bit.
Look up "unicycle gliding." It's a pretty advanced trick but you can definitely coast.
how sad that people can do something as epic as this but they have to clarify that people are going to make fun of you if you do it.
Man i was laughing pretty hard at the visuals in this video. Make no mistake i have the utmost respect for this, and im definitely interested in trying it out for myself
I’ve been riding Muni for ages, but I’ve never seen one of those small handles - is it custom made or can you buy them?
Go to unicycle.com. There are various handles available.
These guys are bad asses.
Can you please show me where to buy one of these? I can't find any with a decent handle.
Unicycle.com all day. I've bought like five from them and they're all great quality (Nimbus is their in-house brand, and they also carry Kris Holm).
Man, it is hard for a beginner!...but I'm determined no matter what to learn how to ride one.
I can't jog anymore because my knees and feet can't take impact.
I love unicycle, I love walks in mountains, so I realy want to test that
After 52 years of unicycling the bounce factor of falling ain't what it used to be. Back in high school I would take dares to descend sketchy muddy steep terrain and thus mastered the art of the one wheel skid.
how do you brake?
Are those 24" wheels?
It's obvious that some of the wheels are larger like 29's maybe but there are several riders that have smaller wheels that look like they're the same size. Are the smaller ones 24" ??Great video by the way, loved it!
Most high quality MUnis (Mountain Unicycles) are 26" or 27.5" but the latter only came out in the last year. So probably 26", and then one 29".
thats cool
i rarely unicycle in the woods but when I do i use a balancing staff
I know how to ride a unicycle I love the way you can get to be on the unicycle
I love this video.
I am 54 and first learned to ride when I was 14. I want to get a MUNI. What kinds of MUNIs are you guys riding?
No idea what they're riding but Kris Holm MUNIs are strong and super popular.
It interests me too!🙂🤔
This came up in recomended and I ride the unicycle and I'm just a kid-
I have actually heard of this before.
there is no link to the video :(
Do they ride clipless?
Imagine if they all rode past you in a line all holding each others handles! 😂
You made me spit out my tea.
The dutch rudder strikes again
Where can you get a seat handle like shown at 2:15?
It interests me too!
There good
Where to buy this unicycle I would like to ask? And, is the unicycle 24"?
Idk. It’s defiantly bigger than 24 in j think though. Unicycles.com has a lot of options and reviews for everything
It interests me too!
does anybody know where the mountain is located they are riding?
+bob willis This was shot on the lower slopes of Mt. Hood at Sandy Ridge. Near Portland, OR
anyone know where I can buy one of these bad boys?
I would never look at a person riding a unicycle and think they look stupid. I would think they have a awesome skill.
First Mountain Uni-cycling video I find, and it is at Sandy Ridge... Of Course
I once did mountain biking and I though it was tough.
What size wheels are those?
One 29" for sure, then I believe the rest are 26".
RUclips get it together!!
No brake bumps!
This looks insanely difficult
